The proposal for an all-age Academy in Blyth is still in the feasibility phase and has not received Ministerial approval to proceed further nor have Ministers approved funding. As you may know, all Academies are required to consult extensively and locally early in their development phase to demonstrate support for the proposal. This covers students, staff, parents, governors, schools and the local community as well as other agencies. Ministers will consider the views expressed before they decide whether to approve a funding agreement with the Academy Trust and establish the Academy
